Koimoi rated the album 3 out of 5 and said, " Aashiqui 2 is an album that had set its heart in the right place and wanted to accomplish what Aashiqui did musically. And while it is unfair to compare a sequel to the original, it needs to be said that each should be seen for its own merit." The Times of India rated the album 5 out of 5 stars and wrote, " Aashiqui 2 tries, and succeeds to some extent in matching the repeat-values freshness and allure of the original. The whole album though was based on love except for the youth-appealing song "Sunn Raha Hai", the quality and freshness was splendidly unmatchable from other hit albums like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, Kai Po Che, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Phata Poster Nikla Hero, Raanjhanaa, Dhoom 3 and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, of that year.Īashiqui 2 's soundtrack received acclaim from music critics, who praised the songs "Tum Hi Ho" and both versions of "Sunn Raha Hai". "Bhula Dena" depicted the practical ending of the two lovers but which would start once again in the coming births as their love was unknowingly infinite in its cause. The song "Aashan Nahi Yahaan" has a universal message of love in its lyrics. The song "Milne Hai Mujhse Aayi" has used guitars that lean towards heavy rock genre.
The song "Hum Mar Jayenge" uses flute, which Bollywood Hungama in their review appreciated."Chahun Main Yaa Na" is a "coming-up love" romantic song which not only remarked the two persons, composer Jeet Gannguli and singer Palak Muchhal who come into the limelight but also became quite contagious amongst the youngsters of those time. The composer Ankit Tiwari was appreciated for recruiting Shreya Ghoshal's voice for the female version of the song. The song "Sunn Raha Hai" was rendered in two different (electric rock and semi -classical) styles as per the demand of the film where a rich and popular singer sings with modern and sophisticated instruments and a poor bar singer sings with normal instruments. The song became the most popular listener's choice song of the year 2013 and an ever-chanting love anthem for everyone. And furthermore it has a quotient that It's a movie one will either love it or might be totally opposite. Aashiqui 2 lets u fall in love with it instantly. CONCLUSION: OVERALL a Lovely romantic movie showing pure love, love and only love. Telephone sequence between Son and Father is useless, No need for it at all. Few places pace drops but u don't think of it much as remaining it's beautiful. Movie's Execution and direction MINUSES: 1. She gets all scenes so beautifully.She is superb. SHRADDHA KAPOOR is another talent to watch out for. CASTING & ACTING: ADITYA ROY KAPUR after giving beautiful performances in London DREAMS, GUZAARISH & ACTION REPLAY gets a solo role and he delivers totally. CHAHOON MAIN YA NAA and BHULA DENA are too good too. With TUM HI HO and SUN RAHA HAI NA are just mind blowing and jump up each other whenever u hear another one. MUSIC: Music By ANKIT TIWARI, MITHOON & JEET GANGULY is just the one of the best soundtrack have heard in a long long time. After WOH LAMHE & AWARAPAN this His another great work as director. DIRECTION: MOHIT SURI delivers an all and all romantic movie and his direction is beautiful. Overall it's a lovely romantic movie having its heart in its place and will not much give more details otherwise movie story will be revealed.A different approach to a great extent. ADITYA ROY KAPUR & SHRADDHA KAPOOR are just wow. A total romantic movie which makes u fall in love with it since the very beginning. It's all and all romantic movie seen after a long long time.
MOHIT SURI gives a total change movie here getting away from his route and He delivers. Firstly the movie is a total surprise package as it is not at all any resemblance with AASHIQUI or ABHIMAAN. But as the trailer came the hype the buzz the expectations became so high. AASHIQUI 2 (Movie Review) ONE LINER: Meri Aashiqui Tum Hi Ho.!! EXPECTATIONS: Expectations were not much high till the first trailer came.
